Hi there. Congratulations to your great new album. Please describe the reactions to the CD so far.
Everyone has been great. Even if your not into Metal everyone seems to enjoy the album.
Some of our readers may never have heard about you. Please give us a short briefing in the band's biography. And what are the milestones of your career up to now?
A Tortured Soul is band without boundaries. We come and go as we please and practice as much as possible and write when we feel inspired to do so. We all have the ambition to write music full time and tour to support the music. We write, and we are all Friends. The greatest milestone is to be working with a great label in Pure Steel.
Let's talk about your new CD. What are the differences between "Lucifer's Fate" and "Kiss Of The Thorn" in your opinion?
The difference between the 2 albums is "Kiss of the thorn" was just Nate playing all the guitar tracks as Stefan was just rhythm and having a bassist that was the main focal point with the bass played like a Lead guitar to having 2 really great Guitarist and the Bass holding down the back bone of the music as Stefan does now and Eric all ways kicks ass. We always wanted the band to be what it is today and we are very happy with the new band line up.
 My favourite is "Eye Of Ra". Can you tell us something about this song and it's history?
"Eye of Ra" was written by myself as I had this feel from Rynes Riff of an Egyptian theme and I just went with it.
And what about "Ahes To Ashes"?
"Ashes to Ashes" was written from as all of my material to be interpreted by the Listener. All my songs have more than one meaning. Therefore I would never tell one person what a particular song is about as they have a different meaning to each listener.
Which one is YOUR favorite song from the album and why?
"Rust" is my favorite track as it is so full of energy and it kicks my ass to sing it every time.
How would you describe your own music?
A Tortured Soul is a Dark Heavy Metal band. Words like True Metal come to mind. Heavy metal should be scary, not singing about your girlfriend, don't you agree?
YES!!! DEFINITELY!!!
What are your musical influences in your opinion?
My Influences are the great Singers of all time Dio, Halford , King Diamond, Geoff Tate, Khan, Ripper, Ozzy, Peter Steele, Dani Filth, there are so many I am as big a fan as anyone.
What was your aim when you started making music? And how far are you on your way to achieve it?
My aim has been the same since I was 12: to be able to write Heavy metal full time and tour the world to support our craft and nothing will stop us ever.
At the end of your career: Which statement would you like to read about your band in the great history book of Heavy Metal?
The statement that A Tortured soul stuck to their guns, never sold out and played Heavy Metal exactly the way it should be played: Evil and Heavy.
 How important is it for you to play live on stage?
We like to play live as our music is much better live than in the studio. We hope to someday be able to play Wacken , Swordbrothers and all the European Festivals for that matter if given the chance you wont forget our show and that's for sure!!
Please tell us something about further Live activities.
Our future live shows would depend on how well this record and the next one we have written will do. We are hopeful that they kick ass and everyone supports the A Tortured Soul Vision of Metal as it is different than most bands we have played with for certain.
Once we can write and tour full time we will be putting out more Material and much better Material as we wont be working 12 hour days and then trying to get together as a band and write music very tiring to say the least.
